So NHRA has a vested interest of promoting the myth that he perfected the rear engine dragster. In reality he was like all drag racers in the 60's and 70's observing what other racers were doing and copying them. Garlits was observed at the winter nationals looking at other cars but paying long attention to one car. The Kaiser brothers rear engine car was designed as a collaboration with Mike Collins, Mike Widner and Mark Williams, with the chassis built by Mark Williams. That car was raced successfully by Junior Kaiser for may years, including Division 5 Champion and being ranked 9th in the country in 1982. So maybe NHRA should have a video of all the rear engine cars built and SUCCESSFULLY raced by so may others.

Seems like this person was filming a video of the drag racing legend John force racing in the 4 wide nationals night race. In fact, it was so dark that we could see the header flames coming out of the exhaust pipes when the nitro powered engine was at full throttle. Well done.
